The Second Temple was the center of the ancient Jewish world. New excavations have revealed the remains of the city of Jerusalem as it existed at that time, including a drainage channel that served as an escape route following the destruction of the Temple in 70 C.E.

Pre-lecture reception begins at 6:15 pm.

Please use Terrace entrance on the north side of the building.

Supported by a grant from the Helen Diller Family Foundation, a Supporting Foundation of the Jewish Endowment Fund.

Lecture held in conjunction with the exhibition, Highlights from the Israel Antiquities Authority: The Dead Sea Scrolls and 5,000 Years of Treasures.
