Dr. Zahi Hawass has made some of Egypt’s most significant archaeological discoveries, including a lost golden city in the Valley of the Kings. He will sign copies of the Treasures of the Pharaohs catalogue, short guide, and children’s guide, which are exclusively available for purchase at the de Young Museum Store.

About Programs at the Ancient Art Council
Programs are varied and include such activities as lectures by noted archaeologists, museum curators, and ancient art historians; exclusive tours of the Museum’s permanent collection and special exhibitions; fund-raising events; and travel programs to ancient sites and other museums. Members also receive invitations from related organizations to attend lectures ad exhibition openings. Your annual membership dues and contributions will assist in furthering the Ancient Art collection at the Fine Arts Museums.

Exhibition tickets are not required for this event. Book-signing tickets will be distributed starting at 9:30 am on August 1. Space is limited. Please, no outside merchandise or items for signing.
