Presenting archaeological discoveries from the tombs of Mycenaean warriors and the best-preserved palace on the Greek mainland, this talk features the burial of the Griffin Warrior, whose unplundered grave held offerings of incomparable artistry. Join curator Claire Lyons on a tour of the latest discoveries from the Kingdom of Pylos in ancient Messenia, an epicenter of Mycenaean civilization during the Late Bronze Age.
The Kingdom of Pylos: Warrior-Princes of Ancient Greece is on view at the Getty Villa through 12 January 2026.
