Torso of a God
Egyptian, New Kingdom, Dynasty 18, last decade of the reign of Amenhotep III, 1359-1349 B.C.
This almost life-size torso was probably carved for the royal jubilee (sed-festival) of the pharaoh Amenhotep III. The loss of the head and the absence of an inscription make it impossible to identify the figure.
