Statuette of a Reclining Banqueter

Etruscan, late 6th century-early 5th century B.C.

This lively and spirited reclining youth, leaning with his left elbow on a cushion, was most likely one of several similar banqueters attached to the rim of a large vessel.  The statuette dates to a time when Etruscan art was closely related to Greek art.
